Michael Barnes is a transactional attorney focusing on corporate and entertainment matters. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financing. He was named “Dealmaker of the Year” by Variety Magazine for spearheading the Miramax acquisition. He has acted as lead counsel on the purchase of six motion picture studios and film libraries and an international sports league. He has acted as counsel in over thirty purchase and sale transactions, and also handled the financing on more than 150 films for numerous banks, financiers and funds.
